Mission Statement of the Task Force:

Domestic Violence is abhorrent and unacceptable, with lifelong consequences which threaten the stability of the family and society, imprinting a message that violent behavior is appropriate. The mission of the Washoe County Domestic Violence Task Force is to work toward ending domestic violence in our community by enhancing the response of primary service providers and by addressing the root causes of domestic abuse.

The Goals of the Task Force:

  1. Coordinate and improve the efforts of various agencies which respond to domestic violence.
  2. Provide a forum for communication and the exchange of information among these agencies.
  3. Identify current methods of dealing with domestic violence and recommend improvements to policy makers including legislators.
  4. Promote public awareness of domestic violence issues.
  5. In attaining these goals, we recognize the importance of input from persons who identify as survivors of domestic violence.
  6. In addition to such other activities as may be provided herein, the Task Force shall undertake a comprehensive evaluation of the current service delivery system in domestic violence matters, including law enforcement, prosecution, court, criminal defense, treatment, social services, health, and support agencies within Washoe County.

Kelli Anne Viloria volunteers her time to coordinate and lead the Washoe County Domestic Violence Task Force. Kelli Anne Viloria was active in the Fatality Review team process as a former Attorney for the Washoe County District Attorney's Office. Kelli Anne Viloria is a compassionate ally to her clients as a family law attorney. She brings passion, experience and tenacity to help the Task Force address our goal towards ending domestic violence in our community.
